Is it paying for coaching "worth it"?

Question: Is paying a life coach/ ADHD coach "worth" the time and money?

Answer: Think of it like this...

People often pay large sums of money to personal trainers to help them achieve their fitness, weight loss, and/or nutrition goals. They know they "should" exercise, and that it is important for health, but they do not know where to start. They are having a hard time motivating themselves on their own and hiring a trainer will help them stick with it. A trainer can provide expert guidance on which weights or cardio machines would be most appropriate to start with and how to increase the challenges over time. They encourage you along the way, they hold you accountable and physically stay with you while you complete your exercise. Having support and accountability helps you stick with your plans to "get to the gym" much longer than you may have on your own. They help you to focus on your health and keep it as a top priority!

Hiring an ADHD Life coach is very similar. We know we "should" take time for yourselves, and that our mental health is important, but it is often difficulty to prioritize ourselves or know where to start. Instead of focusing on just physical health, ADHD coaches focus on overall quality of life: mental health, balancing work, family and self care, reducing stress and overwhelm, managing relationships... all while managing ADHD! "Adulting" is hard... but it is even MORE difficult if you have ADHD or other forms of neurodivergence! An ADHD life coach provides expert guidance on where to start, helps you determine your strengths and areas of growth, helps you to identify your goals and priorities in a way that works for YOU and your brain. They hold you accountable and encourage you not to give up on your goals by breaking them down into more manageable steps. They help you trouble-shoot when things go wrong, or life gets overwhelming. They walk alongside you, supporting you as you tackle life's huge challenges. Working with a coach increases your overall level of self awareness, understanding, and acceptance to build essential self confidence. Once you understand how your specific brain works, you can stop fighting it and use it to build your best life.

Does that sound like it is "worth it"? Only you can decide!
